Church of the Messiah Day Care has closed on Friday August 30, 2013.
Our last day was a true reflection of love and community. Although it was sad to close the doors we were able to celebrate
our years of child care with an ice cream truck, painting teachers with shaving cream, breaking the rules by going down the slide
head first, decorating brownies the children had made earlier in the day and singing happy birthday to everyone.
We operated for 34 years and 7 months in our location at 240 Avenue Road.
Priest Tay and Board President Diana sang a blessing to children, parents and staff to complete our event.
Toronto Star photographer, Richard Lautens and reporter, Alex Ballingall, attended our event to document the closure.
Please see the attached link for a short video of our day:
Please join us at the Church of the Messiah on Sunday September 29 at 10:30 a.m.
to celebrate with a thanksgiving service.
A limited number of day care shirts will be given to those who attend.
Thanks be to God our Father who directed this ministry, to all the families who have entrusted their children to us, to all the staff
who have a passion for early education and our Board of Directors who guided the operations.
Blessing be unto all.
